Powder Blue Tanger eating habits

Hi All.. My Tang is a lover of all things green like most other tangers.. Question though.. When I feed the others and give them mysis and brine etc the tang eats that as well... to the point of out eating the others .. I give it formula II in pellet and frozen and spirolina tables and grape caulpora .. is this normal?

mine does the same thing, has since i have owned him. the others seem to get what they need. he eats anything i put in the tank. meaty flakes, veggie flakes, frozen foods, live foods everything! i also put out algae strips every 2-3 days for him. just about all my fish eat that as well.

In nature and the aquarium they're more omnivores when young than strictly herbivores. Think of them as lousy vegetarians, they prefer their veggies but if a shrimp scampi is placed in from of em they'll gladly take a few bites.

I would feed mine torn off nori morning and evening along with flakes and mysis for other fish and he ate it all. Algae is really important for them tho I think.
