What do you think?

Ok, I am in the midst of setting up my 75 "Death" tank. I currently have a standard light set-up on the tank. I was thinking that instead of going all out right now and buying an expensive unit, I would just replace the bulbs in the standard unit with some POWER-GLO® Fluorescent Bulbs by Hagen.

Here is the link:

What do you guys think??

It will only be temporary, maybe a few month to possibly a year at the very most before I get a whole new light set-up. I would eventually like to gat a halide set-up for it.

Is the 75 gallon tank going to have corals or is it going to be a Fish Only? The reason I ask is because I couldn't imagine anyone wanting halides on a fish only tank. Let us know

Eventually I would like to put corals. Right now it is a wait and see. It all depends on what kind of fish I am able to put in it. I would like to put some pretty aggressive fish in it so I am not sure if the corals will even survive. More or less, I was just wondering if anyone had heard of these bulbs and if they will do the trick for a FOWLR tank and possibly support some coral, mainly zoas and mushrooms.

Ok, since no one has responded as to if they have used these or not, I went ahead and bought them. I figured $25 isn't that much of an investment so why not try. I will take some before and after photos so you all can see the difference.
