From all the articles and threads that I've read, Yes. Go with which ever one you want/is available to you/is cheapest. I've been using Mrs. Wages for over 2 years now.

I have been using the Kent's kalk mix ($15.00) per pound, I wanted Mrs. Wages but I could only find Ball's 100% natural pickling lime($1.99) per pound. Amazing difference.

Walmart or H-E-B?
Do they sell Mrs. Wages at Walmart or the H-E-B's found in Texas? If so, which section in the store. I was looking like crazy yesterday.

I haven't found Mrs Wages in Texas at Wal-mart and I believe tha Ball discontinued making it. If you have a Fiesta mart in Laredo though they carry it as Cal Mexicana in 4 oz bags at $1 per bag. (It's used to make tortillas.)

I just recieved a case of Mrs. Wages by UPS. $55 (including shipping) for 12 cans.
I couldn't find any in the grocery stores so I ordered online. Well worth the money.

I bought mine online as well. It's very inexpensive and is food grade so you get what you pay for. I buy a case at a time.
You can buy it here. http://www.canningpantry.com/pickling-lime-case.html Regards, Pat
