Fresh to salt
I have/had a 110 gallon Chiclid tank in my downstairs den. I got two 55 gallon tanks second hand and moved the chiclids. Drained the 11o, and now it is in the works of becoming a salt tank. We had an UGJ system in the 110 previous. I had it hooked to 2 900 Maxi Jets. I would like to add other 1200 maxi jets to the salt, but keep the previous two. What should I use to clean them in order to not poison the new salt tank? Also is there something I should clean the previous fresh water 110 tank with before I put the new salt in? Can I leave a little of the crushed coral from the Chiclids under the new sand I will be putting in? Any suggestions would be wonderful in this transition...

A good wash with vinegar should be fine for the tank and Maxi-Jets. Even that's not needed unless the tank was treated with some copper or other medication, but the cleaning is very easy.
I would avoid the crushed coral since it'll rise to the top over time and make a mess. The large chunks leave a lot of pores, etc, to catch detritus. I ended up throwing my crushed coral away.
