Eheim Pump on an ASM G3

There sure is no shortage of skimmer opinions/ideas/mods going around now a days. I have an ASM G3 that works great, nasty stinky crud everyday. Never have to mess with it. I still cant help thinking about making it better. Anyone ever use an Ehein NW on a G3 in place of the Sedra 5000?? Any thoughts would be welcome.
