I need book suggestions...
I have Borneman's "Aquarium Corals", Calfo and Fenner's "Reef Invertebrates", Fenner's "Conscientious Marine Aquarist", and Michael's "Marine Fishes".
"The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium" series is hard to find and even harder to pay for. I don't have it yet. I'd like to find some more good, modern books on general inverts, some on anemones, and also more good coral books. Suggestions, anyone? What have you read, and what did you think of them? Thanks. |

In addition to those you listed I like Anthony Calfo's "Book of Coral Propagation" and Albert Thiel's "Advanced Reef Keeping".

Thanks. I'd rather have an honest opinion than to buy a book "judged by its cover" if you know what I mean. It's hard to tell the cream from the crud from the publisher's notes.

I liked The Reef Aquarium, Science Art And Technology by Delbeek & Sprung. Sometimes, I find good deals at Amazon.com for used books.

Reef Secrets by Fossa and Nilsen is a pretty much concise version of their series, and often overlooked, on a par with TCMA in focus and experience level. Also, UMA is well worth checking out.

And if you can lay hands on a copy of PR Escobal's Aquatic Systems Engineering... you should take it with you.
