tank not draining
I am suddenly getting a film on the water in my tank. It seems that the overflows are not draining fast enough, or the pump is not returning fast enough for the drains to flow as they used to. My tank is an Oceanic 120 reef ready with two overflows. My pump is an Iwaki rated at 1200 gph, I forget the model number. This film issue is new to me. The tank has been up for about 9 mos. The Iwaki pump is maybe 18 mos old. I replaced the impeller about 6 mos ago so I don't think it is a calcium build up on the impeller but am not ruling it out.
Any suggestions/ideas? |

Check the overflow drains and the intake pump for rescrictions,
