ID, please?

Anyone know what these are? Hydroids of some kind? Anemones?

Better still, anyone know how to get rid of them short of scrubbing?

Nobody?

They don't seem to sting anything (nobody - fish or corals - seems bothered), and they grow in the direct light and darkness, so I'm guessing they're not photosynthetic...

They look like hydroids, IMO. I have some too and they never seem to bother anything but me. You can kalk paste them, but may or may not work. I've literally heard of some people taking a blow torch to them.

I guessed aiptasia, too, but they're VERY SMALL. Those round balls in the bottom right corner are caulerpa - about 3mm in diameter.

They don't seem to be photosynthetic - they'll grow on the dark side of rocks, too.

Not aiptasia. Most likely hydroids or a type of jellyfish in a polyp stage.
