Red Tree Sponge ques.
My Red Tree Sponge has started to turn white on the tips so I moved it to a qt. tank from the display. While in the display it was also getting white tips.
Now that it's in the qt. I'm worried its not getting enough light (only incandescent aqua bulb). Do they put off any toxins if unhappy?

I'm pretty sure your sponge doesnt care whether or not it has any light.
Exposing it to air during handling is probably what has doomed it. Those sponges are very difficult to keep a live in the aquarium and a pretty bad idea. I'd leave it in your QT as it is probably on it's way out. |

Thanks for the reply though...
