do you have to rinse aragonite sand?

Do you have to rinse dry aragonite sand before you put it into your tank and if you have to can you rinse it with tap water

No you don't have to. And if you do rinse it, don't rinse with tap water. Know how a sand filter works? Water passes through the sand and the heavy metals and most of the chemicals are left in the sand and purified water comes out. Imagine using a Sand Filter's sand as substrate
