Carpet Anemone
I had gotten a carpet anemone 6 days ago and placed him midway up on a rock. He stayed there and was eating silverfish with no problems. I got a new ph yesterday changing to a Seio 1100. This morning the anemone was on the side of the rock and now is under the rocks. Is this normal? Was this to much circulation? The ph was placed at the other end of the tank. I should have close to a x20 turn around in flow. Should I bring him out to another spot? He isn't going to get much light where he is at.

Anemones roam. Not much you can really do about it. Don't try moving him forcefully, it will simply injure it more. But do keep an eye on where it ends up.

Carpets don't like it up on the rockwork. They prefer to be on the substrate and usually attach their foot to the underside of a large piece of live rock or down through the sand and attach to the tank glass.
Also, I notice by your sig that you are setting up a nice peaceful community reef tank. You do realize...carpets eat fish. ![]() Tom |

Hey Tom, you just said everything I was going to. My Reef was peacefull untill some "co-workers" told me to take a carpet home. LOL.
Yeah Im sure it will end up in the sandbed, thats where mine is. Mine doesnt seem to mind my Seio 820 in my 55g. He has nice flow on him and hasent moved. Yours is just looking for a nice spot.

I believe its a blue. The guy at the store gave the scientific name but I couldn't remember. Said it was like the green. I was looking at getting a Ritteri as I heard that was the best for the False Perculas to host.

I couldn't post a picture as I don't know how yet. But looking at other pictures, yes it is a S. Haddoni. I just fed it a silverside and he ate it in no time. Looking under the tank, he did go through the sand and is attached to the glass.
