Getting metal halides

I'm changing adding MH to my 75 gal along with my power compacts actnic and whites. What would be a good schedule to introduce them to a small reef colony? 6 species and fish and an LT anemone... just a novice and need advise

Start running them for about 2-4 hours in the middle of the day, and increase the period by 30 minutes a day.
