Just when I feel I'm no longer a newb, ? like these come up

A few things I've been unable to find an answer for:

When I turn my return pump back on after feeding, the spew out a ton of air bubbles. I'm assuming this is bad for corals. Do most people leave their return pump on and just shut off skimmer/powerheads?

Do you feed your fuge? After hearing my skimmer go crazy after adding DTs, I'm wondering how much gets past the skimmer into my fuge. Enough?

Are Harlequin Serpent stars ok to keep? They seem like they get smaller than the brittles. Smaller = less likely to take out a fish?

imo the bubbles arent bad for the corals...my fluval does this every time i clean it, without fail.

as for the feeding the fuge..you could prolly feed it just a little bit...maybe 1 time every 2 or 3 days? just a little bit tho nothing much.

i have no clue on the stars tho

hth

I have a Harlequin Serpent star that has been in my tank for 41/2 months. He hasn't bothered anything. But I do do a weekly feeding for my stars and crabs.

I wouldn't worry too much about feeding the fuge. The Macro will just grow off of nutrients in the water. And yes my return pump will always kick a few bubbles after startup. Cheers

Do most people leave their return pump on and just shut off skimmer/powerheads? I turn mine off also. It makes sense to me to keep the food in the tank, and not in a sponge filter or corner of the sump where it would rot. That short spurt of bubbles hasn't hurt anything in my tank and one of my best SPS's sits right in front it.

Do you feed your fuge? After hearing my skimmer go crazy after adding DTs, I'm wondering how much gets past the skimmer into my fuge. Enough? I do not directly feed my fuge. I also turn off the skimmer's recirculating pump (bubble pump) for 2-3 hours after I add DT's, cyclopeese, or Oyster Eggs.
