changing mud the right way
I am changing the mud in my ecosystem refugium and all I know is to only change half at a time. What is the best way to remove it and put it back in without clouding the whole tank? Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Turn the return pumps off and just change it. The refugium is going to get cloudy no matter how hard you try but at least you can keep the display from getting cloudy.

I am replacing the ecosystem mud that came with the system with mineral mud by CaribSea. The ecosystem mud is hard to find and too expensive. Does anyone know if this mud will be sufficient or should I fork out the money for the ecosystem mud or is there something else I should get? Thanks for any feedback.
