How long to QT a new fish?

How long does everyone usually QT their new fish and watch them before adding them to the main tank?

I have had a fish in my QT tank for 2 weeks now and he is doing great...no signs of any diseases and is eating like crazy.

I like to keep them one to one in a half moths in quarintine you can never be to safe in my mind.
