How many GPH via powerhead should my 30g be getting
I'm gonna be setting up a new octo tank w/ live rock and was wondering how many GPH on average I should be pumping with a powerhead? Also, would it be more efficient to have one stonger powerhead or 2 smaller ones.
Thanks |

I know octopuses like pretty low flow. So I would say you will want 1 or 2 VERY small power heads. Less than 100gph perhaps?
www.tonmo.com has a ton of stuff about ceph tanks. |

Sorry for not being clear. It's for a tank housing an octopus. The Bimac species likes heavy water surges. It's really gonna be a reef tank with non stinging corals for the octopus. So the question I guess I really have is....How many GPH do I need for a 30g reef tank and should I use 1 or 2 powerheads.
