BTAs and lighting
Hi,
I have a few BTAs in my 80g. Due to splitting, the population of anemones is growing in that tank. I wanted to start a 33g tank and move one or two BTAs into it. The 33g tank is only equiped with fluorescent lighting. Question: Will the BTAs be able to make do with that amount of lighting? Thanks in advance for your responses. |

Are we talking about HO florescent lighting? If so how many watts are they? If not HO then no, they will not survive.

The 80g is under PCs
Actually, I checked my lighting for the 33g, and discovered the ballast is dead. I would have to buy a new lighting system for the 33g. However, I didn't want to pay for PCs. I think it is a lot more expensive than simple fluorescents. Worse come to worse, I can run an experiment by putting the BTA in the 33g with fluorescents and see how it fares. If it doesn't look good, I can always move it back to the 80g. Does anyone see any issues with that? No, the fluorescents weren't HO. |
