Blue Led strip light
I wanted to make a light strip of blue leds for moon light on my 15 gallon and wanted to know if this was safe enuf or if might create problems in the future. The strip will consist of 30 3mm blue leds and will only be turned on at night.

30 leds seems like a lot for a 15g tank....I had 6x 5mm on my 75

Are you talking for regular lighting, or just moonlights?

Lowes sells a blue, white, red LED nightlight for around $5. (you can switch between colors) It plugs into an 120C AC. Just break off the top light disperser and get a cheap extension cord and mount it (or two) in your hood. I use 3 on my 100 gallon. 1 or 2 would be more than enough.
