Note the Urchin has a foot to keep it upright, I'll have to go and measure how wide it is with the foot. I'm not using my Urchin currently (upgraded to a Octopus 150).

I ran a turboflotor and an urchin side by side... the turbo blew the urchin away. I even had a mag3 on the urchin which supposedly improves the performance. It literally skimmed nothing.
I have heard great things about the Tunze skimmers, I would check them out due to their slim profile and good reputation. Joon

Urchin is pretty quiet. It generates some noise from the spray injector. It did a very good job on my 55g, but it was a bit undersized to be honest.

I sold the Urchin quite a while ago, sorry. It was a little loud for my taste, but then again I ran an open iron stand, so take that with a grain of salt. Loud is completely subjective, so just realize that it does generate some noise and it is louder than a needlewheel, IME.
What size is your entire system, sump and everything? You may be able to get away with using the nano skimmer that tunze offers. You could always ask Roger in the Tunze forum about that.
