rock density

What is the least dense rock available? Is base rock more or less dense than live rock? What is the least dense base rock?

If one rock is 1/2 as dense as another, then you only need half as much.

Thanks.

Anyone? Sorry if the question comes alot. How does the density/ surface area per pound of reeferrocks base rock compare to live rock? What about dry tonga branch?

Yes, Tonga branch seems to be pretty porous and quite a bit less dense than, say, Fiji liverock.

It just depends on what you want to use as baserock. If you want Tonga branch rock, I would get something like Fiji or similar, and then add on the Tonga.
