Anyone have an Purelyh2o RODI system, I am having trouble

WE got the system today, batteries in the TDS and no lights.
I tested the waste and product H20 PH. The waste H20 was around 7 and the product was around 8.5
To me that sounds backwards????

How many gallons has it gone through? Let it run trough like 5 or so. And the waste outlet should be putting out a lot more water than the clean output (the quick way to check )

Yeah, the waste is putting out more. By the time we emptied the first 5 gal into the tank, the larger bucket outside was almost overflowing.

I think you can't really check the ph of zero TDS water with a regular ph probe, as they work on conductivity. So I wouldn't worry about the probe saying 8.5PH for your output. It's probably around 7. If you're worried about it, get a chemical test and try that. More to the point, what is your TDS before and after the filter?

One thing I would recommend, although it might be too late, is to "flush" the R.O. membrane if your filter came with a flush kit. If not, just run 5-10 gallons through the R.O. membrane, but disconnected from the D.I. cartridge. This is to remove the film that is on the R.O. membrane when it's new, and running it through your D.I. resin will really use it up fast. This advice comes straight from Bryan, the owner of purelyH20.

Mattboy,
I tested the PH chemically.
I don't know anything about this thing as it did not come with a manuel. They sent one out today, but it will probably be monday before it gets here. They e-mailed me start-up directions but they were really basic.
