question regarding euro reef skimmer

hey everyone i lost my instruction booklet... but what is the best depth a euro reef skimmer shouuld work in in a sump?? my 1st baffle that contains the skimmer is about 8 inches high so water is 8 inches in that compartment....

I think my instruction for the unit I have is between 6 and 8 inches.
