T5's won't stay on...
This morning during the normal cycle. The first stage came on as usual and then the second came on. Then they both went out. I turned the switches off and back on. They both stay on for about 5 seconds and then turn back off. Are my bulbs gone and need to be replaced or is something else wrong?
Thanks. |

Is there any bulb that has a dark almost burnt end inside? Have you noticed your ballast getting unusually hot? It is most likely a bad connection, burnt bulb (not totally dead or they wouldn't start at all), or dying ballast. Dying ballast is much more rare.

What kind of T5's are they, what brand? What kind of ballast, is it a premade fixture or retro? If you post the brand some people here may have similar experiences.

SLS has a vendor page here on RC. I'm sure if you post the question there they will help you find the problem.
They have good customer service. Dave |
