Should I...?

Just wondering since I am not running carbon and dont have a shelf in my sump for it, if I could just let it float in the first compartment? I need something to help for water clarity and this might be the key.

And how much should I add to be efficient?

Can you put it in one of the filter bags and put it in between your baffles? I dont think just floating is gonna get the job done. You want the water to be filtered thru it.

ya what someone told me to do was to put it in a filter bag and put it right next to the return pump intake. I havent done it yet, but i plan on doing so sometime.

And if you don't have a bag...pantyhose would probably work!

yeame, my tank isn't cloudy, I just think it would help maybe a little bit as far as keeping it clearer than it is. There isnt a problem, it obviously works for a lot of other people.

Well guys, I ended up sticking some carbon in between the baffles along with a filter pad on each side of the carbon. It looks ugly but I guess it works.
