pics of a mantis/coral tank
Hey,
I'm new to the mantis side of aquariums. Just located one in my display 60g, he's been there for about 2 years though. Periodically i'd lose a fish and never find a body. This week ive lost 3 fish alone, no bodies to be found. Then last night I saw the mantis. I cant tell you his colour or length as he vanished quickly. I've set up a 10g tank and am hoping to get some PC lights and use it as a mantis and softy tank. anyone have any pics of anything similar? Cheers,

These are older pics, and my tank is completley free of cyano now. Also the Kenya tree is about twice the size now. |

hey, i decided to post some updated pics, so here you go.
If you look at this pic, you can see how much the kenya tree has grown. Also you can see the frag thats growing about 2 inches left from the main colony. Thanks to my mantis of course.. I also added some calurepa to take up some nutrition in the water. |

Nice pics JMLee! Give us some background like, how long has it been running, equipment, etc. I have yet to find a mantis locally for my 12 cube. Hopefully soon or I'll have to resort to ordering one online.

Hey reeferkeith, the tank has been up and running for about 5 months now. Ive gone through my ups and down, but i think now its all clear sailing. I have in there a leather toad stool, devils fingers or hand i forget (it was free from my brothers tank), kenya tree, some blue, orange and green zoas, some shrooms and some neon green GSP. I think im gona add a frogspawn or hammer next. The equipment on the tank is a remora aquaC skimmer, HOB filter with carbon and phosguard, and a current usa dual 65watt PC fixture.
