URI or Coralife 10ks (VHO 60") Which is better?

I have been using the Coralife VHO 10ks and this is the one certain lighting stores have recommended to me...But it seems URIs are easier to find and at better prices...Is there a significant difference between the two in your experiences?

I know the URI actinics are really good, but how about the 10ks?

Which is better the URI's or Coralife? Is there a SIGNIFICANT difference bwtween the two (truer color, longer lasting, more correct spectrum, etc...)

Btw I'm looking for the 60" 140 watt 10k VHO's

Any input is appreciated...thanks!

I much prefer URI over the Coralife lamps I have tried in the past.

Although I've never seen the URI 10k's in person, most pic's of people's tanks w/ them have a pinkish hue. I have 3 Actinic Whites on my 55 (along w/ a Phillips actinic because my LFS doesn't carry URI actinics in 48"). I like the Actinic Whites because they give off a nice white light w/ just a little blue. I think they are rated at 12K.

Why not mix up and use both? I prefer URI personally.

URI but I would use the Actinic White rather than the 10K because of the already mentioned pink color of the 10K.

URI has actually changed their name, I had bulbs ordered from them that were backordered for a month. Anyways the new company name is UV lighting. URI bulbs would be my bulb of choice, coralife is overpriced

So for URI/UV the Actinic white (50/50) is 'whiter' than the 10k...

I thought 10k was supposed to be whiter than 50/50...and 50/50 more pink thank 10k....(did I get them mixed up?)

My current coralife 10ks seem pretty white (which is what I'm looking for)

I'm not sure why, but the Actinic Whites are whiter (atleast compared to the pictures I've seen of the AquaSuns). If you're looking for whiter then I would suggest the Actinic Whites. I've used them for awhile and really like the coloration (I do mix in some actinics also).
