Cloudy tank

hey, i have just mixed my salt in my water to the correct salt concentration and after a day of letting the tank sit the water is still cloudy. Do you guys know what is wrong? I know its not my sand because i added it after i let the water sit for a day.

Here is a pic of my tank, it is not full because i ran out of salt.

Thanks a lot guys

when i set up my46 gallon...i used the power head to mix the salt in with the water until i couldn't see anymore salt. i think it might be due to the sand that your water is clowdy...what i did was before i put my sand into the tank, i poured all of it into a bucket and washed/cleaned/and drained it until i could actually see the sand at the bottom of the bucket while it was filled with water. after pouring the sand into my aquarium...success!

Water is fine, leave it with filter on some more days.

yea install powerhead to help mix up salt before you add sand.
also use live sand if not mb rinse first.

Are you planing on having a fish only tank? If you plan on a reef tank I would think about adding more sand and put a powerhead in the tank for water movement you need to get the water move and you could also add a small filter to remove the fine sediment!

perfectly normal and it'll take a few days for everything to get settled and the water to clear up. If you're really impatient, run some activated carbon in your filter or in your fuge.
