Coraline algae question

My tank has been up for two months and doing well, my question is the Coraline algae was taking off on the LR now it bleaching out (turning white). I did just upgrade my lights from PC to 2X250W MH's, is that casue and will it come back?

Most likely, yes, the new lights are the reason. Often times folks changing over to MH from other lighting are instructed to mount their lights very high, shorten the lighting period significantly with slowly increasing increments of time to the full time you eventually want, and some even use screens stacked on one another to filter the light and they remove the screens slowly over time. At any rate, yes, this is alot for the coralline to deal with, however, it should make an eventual comeback.
