blacklight ???
Okay this is a crazy post and I sorta think the answer might be no.
I haven't ever seen any discussion on it and I am unable to access teh search feature.. although I did try a few days ago and didn't come up with any rellevant threads.. I am wondering if it would be alright to use a black light over my reef much as you would actinics. I have some small fixtures now that accept 20 or 24 inch bulbs (I can't remember) and I could just get some bulbs at walamrt and try it. my main problem now is my actinics are true 450 actinics with also 12000k lights the tank always looks kind of blue... I miss the old actinic purple glow look... I don't want it all the time just for an hour before the others lights come on and for a little while at night. also what the heck is the really purple actinics called.. I was told an 03 is super blue and 450 is super blue.. I have a 420 its a little more purple but no where near as purple as the no flourcent actinic I have. (I have one and need one bulb.. I was wondering if it would be alright to just get two new blacklight bulbs becuase they are cheaper then one additional actinic no bulb) theres got to be a reason no one has talked about them.. so what is it ?
