RS100 footprint & fit in sump

I want to put an RS100 in my sump for a 65 gallon tank. The footprint of the RS100 says it is 8.5". I have a 10" chamber to put it in but it has a 2.5" knee high wall " in that 10" chamber for the sponge to sit in before the pump chamber. Will I be able to get this in the sump properly?

You may want to ask this question in the Euroreef thread. There is one. Here is the link.
