What heaters does anyone recommend? Built in thermostat or separate? I was thinking a couple of 300 W ones for a 125 gallon tank in a room that can go down to 60 to 65 F in the winter.

Heater/stats are unreliable - get a separate thermostat (best one to get is a Ranco temperature controller) and run a heater off that.
