More Pics of my 14 gallon biocube
Here's some more random pictures of my biocube...it's been up and running for almost a month now and I just moved it into my college apartment. Everything is doing really well, my mushroom coral is spreading and my pulsing xenia has a few small colonies now. The "porkyspawn" is doing really well and is in my opinion, the coolest looking coral of all, I can't wait for it to get bigger. The tank houses 2 clowns and 2 neon gobies (I know its a heavy bioload but I do water changes twice a week to keep everything in check). So far I've modded the filtration by replacing the bioballs with live rock rubble and cutting the first slot a little larger to allow more water in the back. I plan on getting some chaeto for the middle chamber along with a skimmer if they ever make a small one that actually works.
full tank shot w/stand filtration setup tank shot w/flash tank shot w/o flash clownfish side of tank shot Let me know what you think I should/shouldn't do witht he tank. My only other plans are a small finger leather and then letting it grow on its own. |

Just wanted to add that everything in the tank is from an established system, so when I say a month, I mean it has been in this tank for a month.

Looks really nice Matt!
I've tried my hand at a nano and I couldn't make the cut... I did keep a blood shrimp and it was a nice splash of color, a clearner or blood shrimp would be a cool addition w/out adding too much to your bioload. And on top of that everything is Aquacultured! Way to sustain the hobby man

Nice job on the rockwork too! I like to watch the inverts doing their work so I would add a couple of things if it were mine. Maybe a Sally Lightfoot crab and/or emerald crab, along with some snails/hermits. The bonus with them is that they are entertaining AND help keep the tank clean too.
