Question Weird Please help ID

I was stareing at my LR (again) and this weird brown and white worm poked out. As soon as I turned the light on he disappeared. He looks really long round and he is reddish brown and white almost clear. Theres also these tiny bugs running around in the rock. What could they be? I' think the bug is some kind of pod but I've never seen a worm like this before. Anyone have any ideas. I'm sorry I can't get a pick it runs when I turn on the light or shine a flashlight in his general direction.

The bugs are most likely copepods which is a good thing.

The worm can be a myriad of things. Does it extend out and retract quickly when the glass is tapped? Any visible legs?

It almost looks like he's retreating into himself. He seems very long. I know I have a brisle worm in there and there was a weird black and gold bug in there I've only seen him once. I'm not sure where he is now or even what he is. The worm doesn't have any legs. He looks like a striped worm. lol. Theres a white thing in there too, he looks like several worms tangled up. All I can see are tentacle looking things. lol. All this stuff keeps popping out. It's fun finding new stuff but frustrating when you don't know what it is. Or know if it's good or bad.

lol, Too funny. I can't find it on Melves page. As long as he's good I'm ok. I don't want to leave him if he is going to harm any of my future corals. I go to Melve's page often to make sure theres nothhing bad in my tank. Any ideas about the black and gold bug or the elusive tentacles peeking out of a crevice in my rock?

Well your rock looks like it's been cured already, so there's probably all kinds of fun things in there.

Peanut worms, they all vary in color and stripes.

Definitely a Peanut Worm

The "bugs" on your rocks could be a number of things, but the three that come to mind are Copepods, Isopods, and Amphipods.

Harmful worms are so very rare you may want to go to an ID site and learn the few that you DOn't want in your tank: the eunice and oenone worms. We've been taught from childhood that worms are dirty and ucky, but they're good, hard workers. Just don't touch the bristly ones and you'll be fine, and so will your tank.
