dumb skimmer ?

I just got a rps3000 skimmer.I am feeding it with a MJ1200. I am doing a test run with water and vinergar to clean it out. why would there be no water exiting the return tube even though the valve is open. All it does is bubble up and fill the collection cup to an overflowing event.

The skimmer will not work correctly unless it operates in Salt water. YOu cannot skim fresh water.

Regards,

Pat

I figured it out, sometimes the easy things are most often overlooked. I forgot to cut the output pipe to the right length. It was having to push the water up too high. Cut the pipe and it works like a charm. Thanks though
