Something new in tank.... a little help maybe?

Well, I have a 30 gallon tall. Have 40 lbs of live rock and only have a snowflake eel and snails at the moment... Eel is only going to be a resident until i start getting corals as I was told he isnt a good tankmate. My question is about something i found today. All over the front of the tank on the glass are these little while things... they move around, so this really throws me. They are too small to get a pic, but from what i see, they seem like little tiny slug like things... only way i can describe them. They are REALLY small. If i am able to get a pic somehow i will take one. Any ideas or thoughts? I have never seen them before... could maybe the snails reproduced? Just a thought. thanks all....

They could be baby snails, but more likely they're copepods, tiny crustaceans that are prime fishfood and good for your tank. Feed phyto and they will increase.

I second the notion about copepods. Check out oceanpods.com and learn everthing there is about them and why they are good.

amphipods if they're crawling around. If you plan on a mandarin which yes you could have. Step up a LR rubble pile and let them take over. The population will be HUGE by the time you get a mandarin. The LR rubble will give the copepods and amphipods hiding to reproduce.
Just be sure you have lots of white bugs all the time else the mandarin will not fair well. You should have a 50 but its really a matter of food population. Mandarins are known to eat frozen too.

Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low. Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.
