I have $300 to add to my tank, help me prioritize please

I have a 150 gallon, I am going to list the eqiupment and choose what you think I need most at this point in time.

Tunze Stream 6080 Pump for $200

2 Tunze Stream 6060 Pumps for $300
-----both of these items will be in addition to 5 single directional 400gph powerheads on a random timer with 1600 gph of flow from sump.

Replace my day light T-5 bulbs with antinics. I already have 2 250 watt HQI 14000k halides for growth and the t-5s dont have much punch to provide growth so why not use them to make the tank bluer.

A third MH, 400 watt 20000k radium to add a deeper blue and more par. $300

50mg per hr ozoner for $200

Ebayed calcium reactior, most likley around $300

I guess it depends on what you need most, which is something only you can answer. Do you have trouble controlling alk/Ca? Get the Ca reactor. Looks like you already have a decent lighting system, I don't know if I'd personally go that route. A couple of 6060's would probably be good for that size tank...

Anyway, just a couple thoughts.

Tough one to decide on. The tunzes sure do get lots of great reviews.

I'd go with the two 6060s but be careful when using wavemakers because tunzes are only supposed to be turned off/on once per hour. Anything more frequent will void the warranty.

When you say replace your bulbs, that shouldn't be too much so you could probably do that for quite cheap. Even buy a used actinic bulb off a fellow reefer on here in the buy/sell, which will cost you a fraction of the cost. Don't worry about spectrum shift with actinics because they are for estetics only, and not for the coral's health.

Also, does the ebayed reactor come with a CO2 tank and regulator? If not, the reactor is useless so I would avoid that if you only have the $300 to spend.

I probably wouldn't go with the 400w or the ozonizer at all. Get the Tunzes and replace your daylights with used actinics.

I am leaning toward the Tunze streams and maybe even one of the more powerful models with a controller.

Given up on the extra halide though.

I still might get an ozone doser.

Heres what I got when I asked about a wavemaker and Tunze:

It would void the warranty. The 6000 and 6100 when used with our controller can pulse between different speeds, it is not a simple off and on function. The 6000 and 6100 should handle a standard wavemaker OK but it is not within the scope of warranty should something happen. The 6060 and 6080 cannot be used on a wavemaker and would be destroyed within a few months.

p.s. you might want to consider SEIO pumps (copycat of Tunze) $60 on sale for 1500gph

oh I forgot....either Tunze or SEIO will have a hard time with wavemakers.

I'm sure you've heard of this around the forums, but a cheap alternative for good flow is the Maxijet Mod. I'm planning on modding two of my MJ1200's this week. Getting the kits off MJmods.com

Both will.

Except the series designed for the Tunze controller..and the Seio1500 and higher, that can be used on the SEIO controller.
