how old is the tnak? i'm guessing its a month since thats what your sig says. This is completely normal in a new tank and should always be expected. I believe its called diatom bloom. Mine went away in about 2 weeks. Doesnt hurt anything except for your eyes (specially if you get a piece of it in there! )

My cerith snails really did do a good number on this stuff tho. They're my favorites...if your tank is fully cylcled, i'd get about 20 of them. They'll prolly take good care of it in a week or so.

Probably diatoms. Totally normal with a new tank. Keep your parameters in check and it should go away on it's own. Employ a clean up crew like Nassarius, cerith, fighting conch, etc. They work great in mine.

nassarius dont eat the algae tho. They just stick to the loose food and gunk. Never touch actual algae tho, but they are needed imo. I say ceriths, nassarius, and a few turbos, along with some astreas. Skip hermits...they never do anything and you'd need a ton if you actually did want them to work, but they just kill off snails anyways, even with tons of extra shells
