Enough Flow?

Ok. I have a question about flow in my tank. Im keeping pretty much all SPS and the dimensions of my tank are 36"x15"x24" LxWxH. I have a Mag 9.5 as a return running thru a SCWD that i calculated to be about 600 or so GPH. As for powerheads ive got 2 SEIO 620s. Does this sound like enough flow for my tank?

also. How should i have the pumps situated in the tank to work the best. like how should they be facing? Right now the return pump outlets both face at an angle down to go across the front of my rockwork. the seios are on the sides pretty much blowing straight across.

any advice would be great. Thanks

Dan

they do but if you look on that page below the picture they can be put together in different ways.

Mine are setup like the example on the far right, but i have the magnet mounts for them.

Sorry im not really answering your question but i was wondering how big the pipe was that you used to plumb your swcd. I just built a closed loop with a mag 7 for mine and its not working too well. Nice setup btw

Id just mess around with the returns and pumps and watch to see if there are any dead spots and then place corals around the tank depending on their water movement/light requirements. Most of my coral is soft or lps the only sps's I have are encrusting montipora and a birds nest coral and I make sure the water is always moving around it but it seems to really like the swcd.

3/4" id flex tubing is what i have hooked to my SCWD. They are flow killers thats why i have a mag 9.5... my mag 7 wasnt enough...

maybe ill just switch to SEIO 820s

To me it seems like plenty flow for that size tank.
