75 inwall sideways?

is there anyone out there that has a 75 gal inwall where you see it only from the end? adding a 75 to my fishroom and was toying with putting it in wall untraditionally, and thought the depth perception would look cool. any pics would be great or I will post some when i am done.

I think it would be allot cooler with a 120. I think that an 18 inch wide tank would not be wide enough to aquascape that properly.

True. Oregon reef http://www.oregonreef.com/index.html has great depth as he used basically a cube as an in-wall. One of the coolest tanks there is in a home, imo.

Thats how mine is. I like it.

Lots of viewable glass. Pain to plumb.

Although if you put it in there sideways, and put most of the lr in the sump to provide a large open view it could be nice. I dunno though you will loose a lot of viewing glass and not be able to see your fish as easily.

I want a penninsula tank with 4 feet out of the wall into a living room, and 2 feet behind the wall in a fish room. lol, when I win the lottery perhaps.

i have thought of that idea too and thought it would be pretty awesome. I would go with the 120 though.

Well the 75 was given to me, plus I have a 240 room divider upstairs, and a 1000 gallon look down reef in my fishroom. I have little wall space so I am going to be creative with the 75, minimal aquascape, possibly a canyon, and it will be fish only probably angels and other non reef safe fish. I really do not need more water but hey...it was free so why say no. See post in large tank section about 1000 gallon refuge to see other tanks. sorry i am can't figure out how to link it.

Amazing! that green cap is AWESOME!! I love the gorgonians., where did you get the purple sea fan and how long have you had it? I like the fact that it's pretty minimal. It just goes to show you that you don't need to cram a tank full of coral for it to look sweet.

have had the purple sea fan for about 4 months. I don't think that 1300+ gallons of water constitutes a problem

I was thinking about bowback instead of a bowfront.
