Sequence pump: HIGH PITCHED WHINE!

I cleaned out my Sequence Reef Dart pump and put it back together.

Now there is a very loud high pitched whining/whirring sound and it's IRRITATING!

What did I do wrong? Obviously something is rubbing on the inside but how come that happened?

Anyone have any hints?

Also, the axle rod/shaft is rusting with salt buildup. Anyone know about that?

Hope someone here can help me because this whining is unbearable!

sounds frustrating!

Could be the berrings. Did you just take apart the housing where the impeller is? Or did you open the mechanical stuff inside?

Just the housing where the impellor is... I didn't do anything else...oh and I poured acid on the housing to dissolve the calcium carbonate...

Maybe something is not aligned "just right" with the impellor?

if you poured acid on the housing, it would definitely destroy any metals, especially if it got inside.

Maybee, try putting it together again.
