hermit compatability
So, would these guys http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...atId=1639&cc=1
be ok with blue-legs? I think these are MUCH cooler than the blue legs, but I'd have to slowly have them introduced to completely replace all ~60 blue legs in my tank... i know my red legged ones (i no longer have any of them) would kill the scarlet hermets i had - and supposedly the blue leggged ones i have are the most peacful? i had a green one that got HUGE, and athough he was peacful, it wasn't cool seing a raquetball-sized crab acting like godzilla in the 55g... So, at 2" (max size?) i can't see these being too bad... depending on how you measure that 2"??? is that out of the shell, outsretched? is that from claw to claw? anyone have experience with mixing certain types?

I'm not an expert but here is what I see in my tank
scarlet hermets are super peacefull and shy. They dont bother anyone or anything Bluelegged hermits are nuts. They fight eachother all day for there shells even when they dont need shells. they try to fight my snails but my snails are still bigger than them They are crazy little buggers that are fun to watch. Thats all I know.. |

That photo is not what I know a Halloween hermit to be. The ones I've seen are exactly the same as the electric blue crabs except the stripes on their legs are orange instead of blue.
The one in this photo is definitely destructive. |
