Quick ballast question.

An electronic will run any bulb right? The reason I ask is I just got an wlwctronic aqua medic that says not to use with internal ignitor bulbs.

This does not seen right considering all bulbs should be fired by an electronic ballast. And why would a american ballast only fire european type bulbs? Just wondering if this sheet was packed by mistake as their was no model # matching the ballast.
