Time of season (Prices change)
I asked my LFS why the shrimp are so high right now? they said its the time of season.
They also said that Ricodia mushrooms will be cheaper in the winter. Is this correct? |

might be. Cuz i know when i was in nicaragua this summer...shrimping is their main scource of money (and food for that matter). But during the summer, they cant go out and get them, because i guess the summer is when they mate or something, so they give them till the winter to grow (and multiply in numbers.
So the shrimp could possibly be going into season when the fall/winter starts...but here in az the cleaner shrimp, peppermints, coral banded, and blood red shrimp have always stayed the same price.. For the ricordia...also possible, because if you look on liveaquaria.com and go to their sps corals, some arent available because they're a seasonal item cuz they have to let them grow out for part of the year (they're slow growers). So that could be the case with your riccordias.
