Small Air Bubbles Bad?

Are super tiny air bubbles in the tank bad? My powerheads are shooting very tiny air bubbles around in the tank but I read that it was bad to have these. Is it true and if so, why?

Micro bubbles are fine . They wont hurt tank they just look bad.If these are new powerheads then the bubbles will go away. Its funny tho most complain about micro bubbles from skimmer. How old is tank , do you have skimmer and are perms all fine ?

The skimmer is brand new. It has a microbubble diffuser though. It is definitely coming from the powerheads. The powerheads are a few months old. Perms are fine.

The powerheads might just need a good cleaning. I agree that the bubbles won't hurt anything, though.

Aren't too many microbubbles a bad thing for the fish?

Mine spews out microbubbles as well despite having baffles in my sump. What I did do that helped cut them down a fair amount is turned the valve on my sump down so lower the flow through that and supplemented with another pump in my main display.

Unless there's enough microbubbles to make the water opaque, or the like, the fish won't care at all.

We had microbubbles at the beginning of our tank setup...We baffled the intake of the main, as well as moved the output of the protein skimmer as far away as possible from it.

Good to know. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't bad for the inhabitants at all.
