Question algea bloom

so a few months ago i started a tank, and immediatly there was a pretty big algea bloom. i was told that this is normal and just to wait it out( as hard as that is). now, after clearing out some of that algea, it appears to not be growing back. does that mean that the bloom is over and i should just go ahead and try to clean out the rest? or if i wait will the aglea just go away?

syphon it out when you do the water changes. you are always going to have algae in the tank. but keeping your nitrates, and phosphates down around 0ppm will keep it from getting out of control. new tanks can take a while for the algaes to stop blooming. but it sounds like you are headed in the right direction.
