I don't think it's cheating at all. Photoshop has it's limitations, you can't can't take a bad picture and make it into a good one. Was that taken with the 18-55mm kit lens?

Beautiful picture! I hope to get some sun polyps eventually when my tank is a little more mature.

Yea it's the stock lens. My macro lens is at home. Are you saying my pic is bad?? Haha. I spend most my time taking wildlife shots--not macro--but fun all the same.

I don't think your pic is bad at all...though I think it could use a little un-sharp mask since it's a little soft, and maybe a little levels adjustment.

Ok I'll photoshop it tonight. But i do love it the way it is. photoshop is more of a crutch than a tool to some.

I would completely agree. You still have to have a good picture to start with, photoshop can only do so much. And nice job with the kit lens. Which macro do you have?

i have the 100mm but i mainly use the 100-300is.
