You are in Palm Harbor, I am in Melbourne, and looking for GSP, ricordia, torch, brain and hammer.... maybe we can work something out if you ever make it out Orlando way?

Is that a scallop? How long have you had it? I've heard they're difficult to keep for extended periods of time, as they tend to starve to death.

Looks like you've got a nice reef going! Keep up the good work!

Yep, it is a scallop. I have had him since I started the tank, so about 2 months or so. I have also heard they are difficult, but mine seems to be quite hardy. My bf (well, sorta my bf) manages a pet store and used to own an aquatics business. He advised me to target feed with phyto daily (1-2 ml) and dose phyto to the tank weekly.

So far, my scallop is doing very well. But I do keep a close watch on him, make sure he is still ticking along.

Thanks! he did initially try to talk me out of it, but i insisted. And he is doing very well. They do require some work, as I do have to be faithful on my target feedings with him, but i don't mind. I have cats and he isn't any harder than cleaning litter boxes daily and feedings and brushings.
