Mexican Turbos & baked on algae

It has been said that Mexican Turbos snails are the best for getting algae off of the glass in the aquarium. Also it was said that one snail should be used per 20 gallons. Can they remove that baked on algae?
I have a 180 gallon tank.
My LFS said that I needed "a lot" of Mexican Turbos for a tank this size.
If I went by one snail per 20 gallons that would be 9 snails. But to me that is not a lot. I'm guessing that the LFS meant 20, or so snails.
BTW I want the tank completely clean within 5 days, or less of adding the snails. I would also like to be able to view the progress daily, so that I know that they are working. How many am I going to need please? Thanks.

Baked on algae, coralline? I think if you put enough snails to clean it completely in 5 days then you are gonna have some starving snails soon. I would add about 10, wipe the glass, and work on nutrient control.

Not coralline. It is the green algae.
