Please help me with ID
Hi, im from Sweden and i am pretty new to this hobby.
I have a 540 litre aquarium, with 120 kg live rock, wich have been in the tank for 1 month. When i studied the rocks this evening i found something on one of the rocks.. it looks like coral skelletons, and it look like there is some kind of anemone or something growing on these skeletons. they are very small. Is this som kind of hard coral? or is it some kind of enemone growing on a coral skeleton or is it something else? Thanks =) |

Those appear to be Cup corals, I have TBS rock and have dozens of them in my tank. They are filter feeders and seem to be thriving with no special care for me.

Mine appear to be growing, or at least extending more lately. I feed Cyclopeeze and Dt's Phytoplankton about 3 times per week as well as keep up my trace elements. I have not noticed one die yet and all seem to be well.
I am not sure what they feed on. I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in, just stating what I do. Scott |
