Question Is this the same a rio?

Are these the same as the rio's that been melting down and blowing up(made by TAAM the same as rio i was told)?I have a rio 1400 i am using as a powerhead for water circulation. Now i am really scared about it and am going to buy another powerhead for my tank. And i like this one but don't want the same thing.I been reading that alot of you use this these in your tanks and was wondering if these are the same or better. Here is a link THANKS LOTS for the help!!!!!!!!!!

No they aren't. They are made by TAAM, however the Rio model is different than the Seio. Lot of people who know about the issues the older RIO's had still went and bought these. Most seem pretty happy with them.

The seio's are very good powerheads. Kind of a poor mans Tunze.

About the rio's,,, alot of people say that have or know about someone that had one destroy their tank,, I've had 10-12 rio's in the last 11-12 years and never had one do that and I don't know anyone that it happened to. I am currently using 2 in tanks now and have one I use for salt mixing.
